Description
Nexturastat A is a potent HDAC6 inhibitor with an IC50 value of 5 nM and greater than 600-fold and 190-fold selectivity over HDAC1 and HDAC8, respectively. It increases acetylated α-tubulin levels and inhibits B16 melanoma cell growth in reported studies.
HDAC6 regulates cytoplasmic protein deacetylation, microtubule dynamics and stress-response pathways distinct from nuclear class I HDACs. Nexturastat A is useful for studying selective HDAC6 inhibition and tubulin-acetylation-dependent biology.
