Description
PCI 34051 is a specific and potent histone deacetylase 8 (HDAC8) inhibitor with more than 200-fold selectivity over other HDAC isoforms.
HDAC8 regulates chromatin acetylation, transcriptional programs and survival pathways in selected hematologic cancer models. PCI 34051 induces caspase-dependent apoptosis in T-cell lymphoma and leukemia-derived cell lines, making it useful for HDAC8-selective epigenetic research.
