Description
Tubastatin A hydrochloride is a potent and selective HDAC6 inhibitor with reported IC50 activity of 15 nM. It increases acetylation of HDAC6 substrates such as α-tubulin without broad neuronal toxicity in reported studies.
HDAC6 regulates cytoplasmic protein deacetylation, microtubule dynamics, protein quality control and stress-response pathways. Tubastatin A is useful for studying HDAC6-selective pharmacology in neurodegeneration, inflammation and epigenetic pathway models.
