Description
LDN 212320 is an activator of excitatory amino acid transporter 2 (EAAT2/SLC1A2) translation with reported neuroprotective effects in vivo. By increasing EAAT2 expression, it supports enhanced glutamate clearance and modulation of excitotoxic stress.
EAAT2 is the major astrocytic glutamate transporter and is critical for limiting excitotoxicity in the central nervous system. LDN 212320 is useful for studying translational control of glutamate transport and neuroprotection in excitotoxic injury models.
