Description
Eliprodil is a non-competitive NMDA receptor antagonist with selectivity for NR2B/GluN2B-containing receptors.
NR2B-containing NMDA receptors are involved in synaptic plasticity, excitotoxic injury, pain signaling and neurodegeneration-related pathways. Eliprodil is used to study subtype-selective NMDA receptor blockade and neuroprotective mechanisms.
