Description
Fenobam is a potent and selective metabotropic glutamate receptor subtype 5 (mGluR5) antagonist/negative allosteric modulator.
mGluR5 regulates excitatory neurotransmission, synaptic plasticity, anxiety-related behavior and neurodevelopmental signaling. Fenobam is a key pharmacological tool for reducing mGluR5-dependent glutamatergic responses.
