Description
BAY K 8644 is an L-type calcium channel activator that facilitates Ca2+ influx through voltage-gated calcium channels.
Enhanced L-type Ca2+ channel activity affects excitation-contraction coupling, vascular tone, neurotransmission and calcium-dependent transcription. BAY K 8644 is used as a pharmacological activator in electrophysiology and reprogramming-related studies.
