- MF: C20H14FN3O
- MW: 331.34
Description
SB 202190 is a potent, cell-permeable and selective p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (p38 MAPK) inhibitor. SB202190 specifically blocks the p38 MAPK signaling without altering ERK or JNK signaling pathways. SB202190 is widely used as a pharmacological tool to investigate the role of p38-dependent pathways in inflammation, cellular stress responses, apoptosis, and cytokine production.
In recent stem cell research, SB202190 is frequently used to promote self-renewal, maintain naive pluripotency, or guide cell differentiation.
Key Features
- Specific p38 MAPK inhibitor
- No inhibition on ERK and JNK kinases
- Widely used research tool in stem cell research
- Useful for inflammation and stress response studies
Applications
- p38 MAPK signaling research
- Stem Cell Research
- Apoptosis and cell survival research
- Immunology and signal transduction studies
