Description
Ropinirole hydrochloride is a non-ergoline dopamine receptor agonist with activity at D2, D3 and D4 receptors, exhibiting the highest binding affinity at D3 subtype and highest functional relevance at D2/D3 signaling pathways.
Dopamine receptor agonism is central to research on basal ganglia circuitry, motor control, reward processing and dopaminergic therapeutics. Ropinirole is used as a reference agonist for studying D2-like receptor activation in CNS and pharmacology assays.
