Description
RU 24213 is a selective dopamine D2 receptor agonist of the phenethylamine family. It is primarily used in pharmacological research to study dopaminergic pathways and behavioral responses. It has also been found to act as a potent kappa-opioid receptor (KOR) antagonist. This dual activity makes it useful for studies at the interface of dopaminergic and opioid receptor signaling.
D2 receptor signaling is central to motor, reward and neuroendocrine regulation, while kappa opioid receptor pathways modulate stress, affective behavior and nociception. RU 24213 is therefore relevant for receptor selectivity studies and functional assays involving these GPCR systems.
Key Features
- Dopamine D2 receptor agonist
