Description
LW 479 is an HDAC inhibitor that induces cytotoxicity, apoptosis and cell-cycle arrest in breast cancer cell models. It has been reported to suppress EGFR expression by disrupting Sp1/HDAC1-dependent transcriptional regulation at the EGFR promoter.
HDAC enzymes regulate chromatin accessibility and transcriptional programs involved in proliferation, survival and oncogenic receptor signaling. LW 479 is useful for connecting epigenetic modulation with EGFR-driven cancer biology and transcriptional repression mechanisms.
