Description
NN414 is a potent and Kir6.2/SUR1-selective ATP-sensitive potassium (KATP) channel opener that suppresses glucose-stimulated insulin release in vitro and in vivo.
By stabilizing beta-cell KATP channel activity, NN414 is relevant for studies of membrane excitability, insulin granule secretion, pancreatic beta-cell physiology and pharmacological control of glucose homeostasis.
