Description
Spautin 1 is an inhibitor of the deubiquitinases USP10 and USP13 that promotes degradation of Beclin 1-associated VPS34 PI3K complexes. It suppresses autophagy initiation and alters p53-related deubiquitination pathways.
USP10 and USP13 regulate protein stability within autophagy, DNA-damage and tumor-suppressor pathways. Spautin 1 is useful for studying deubiquitinase-dependent autophagy control and Beclin 1/VPS34 complex turnover.
