Description
Eeyarestatin I is an inhibitor of endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation (ERAD) that disrupts p97/VCP-associated protein quality-control processes and the associated deubiquitination step.
ERAD controls the recognition, retrotranslocation and degradation of misfolded ER proteins. Eeyarestatin I is useful for probing proteostasis, ER stress responses and the cellular consequences of impaired protein quality control.
