Description
WP 1066 is a JAK2/STAT3 pathway inhibitor with reported IC50 values of 2.3 μM for JAK2 activity and 5.6 μM for STAT3 activity. It induces apoptosis in malignant glioma cells by down-regulating Bcl-XL, Mcl-1 and c-Myc and activating Bax.
JAK/STAT3 signaling supports tumor-cell survival, inflammatory transcription and immune-suppressive phenotypes. WP 1066 is useful for studying JAK2/STAT3 blockade in glioma, leukemia, lymphoma and other cancer models.
