Description
Wnt agonist 1 (BML-284) is a cell-permeable activator of canonical Wnt signaling that mimics Wnt ligand effects in a Xenopus model. It is used to promote Wnt/β-catenin pathway activation in cellular and developmental biology assays. It induces in vitro β-catenin and transcription factor (TCF) dependent transcriptional activity in 293T cells in a dose dependent manner with an EC50 of 0.7 mM.
Wnt signaling regulates embryonic patterning, tissue homeostasis, stem-cell fate and regeneration. Wnt agonist 1 is pharmacologically relevant for studying ligand-like activation of β-catenin-dependent transcriptional programs.
