Description
BIO is a potent, reversible and ATP-competitive glycogen synthase kinase-3 (GSK-3) inhibitor with an IC50 value of 5 nM.
GSK-3 inhibition stabilizes β-catenin and activates Wnt signaling, supporting pluripotency and self-renewal in embryonic stem cell systems. BIO is used as a pharmacological tool for Wnt pathway activation and stem cell maintenance.
