Description
AZD2858 hydrochloride is a potent and highly selective GSK-3β inhibitor with reported Ki of 4.9 nM and cellular inhibition of GSK-3β-mediated tau phosphorylation with IC50 of 76 nM. It shows good selectivity against a kinase panel and more than 100-fold selectivity over CDK2.
GSK-3β regulates tau phosphorylation, Wnt signaling and bone formation. AZD2858 is relevant for Alzheimer disease pathway research and for investigating GSK-3 inhibition as a bone-anabolic strategy in osteoporosis models.
