Description
R55 (TPT-260) is a retromer-stabilizing pharmacological chaperone with a reported Kd of approximately 5 μM for binding at the Vps29–Vps35 interface. It reduces Aβ peptide accumulation and modulates the APP-processing pathway in reported Alzheimer’s disease-related models.
Retromer dysfunction affects endosomal trafficking, APP processing and neurodegenerative disease pathways. R55 is useful for studying retromer stabilization, endosomal sorting and Aβ-generating mechanisms.
