Description
Caprospinol (SP233) is a steroid-derived amyloid-β modulator reported to bind Aβ42 monomers, reduce oligomer formation and protect mitochondria from amyloid-associated dysfunction.
Caprospinol has been studied in preclinical Alzheimer disease models for effects on amyloid burden, neuronal viability and memory. It is useful for investigating the relationship between Aβ assembly, mitochondrial injury and neurodegeneration.
