Description
Donepezil hydrochloride is a centrally active, reversible acetylcholinesterase inhibitor that increases synaptic acetylcholine concentrations.
Donepezil readily enters the central nervous system and enhances cholinergic neurotransmission in cortical and hippocampal circuits. It is a clinically established reference for Alzheimer disease, cognitive pharmacology and cholinesterase-inhibitor studies.
