Description
Second-generation ampakine that potentiates AMPA receptor function (EC50 value 14 µM for increase of glutamate-induced steady state currents) and enhances glutamatergic synaptic transmission, demonstrating improved cognitive performance in a variety of tasks. CX691 aka Farampator is developed primarily as a putative antipsychotic.
