Description
Vatalanib (PTK 787) is a multi-target receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitor with potent activity against VEGFR family kinases and additional activity at PDGFRβ and c-KIT.
VEGFR signaling is essential for angiogenesis and tumor-associated vascular growth. Vatalanib is useful for studying VEGF-driven endothelial responses, antiangiogenic pharmacology and broader RTK contributions to tumor progression.
