Description
AG 013736 (Axitinib) is a potent, orally active vascular endothelial growth factor receptor inhibitor with strongest activity at VEGFR1, VEGFR2 and VEGFR3 and additional activity at PDGFR and KIT.
Axitinib suppresses VEGF-driven endothelial proliferation, vascular permeability and angiogenesis. It is a clinically established tool for studying anti-angiogenic kinase inhibition, tumor vascular dependence and adaptive resistance.
