Description
Retromer stabilizing pharmacological chaperone (Kd value ~5 μM) that binds at the Vps29 and Vps35 interface, and reduces Aβ peptide accumulation (IC50 value ~12 µM) and the pathogenic pathway of APP; useful pharmacological tool for research on Alzheimer's disease.
Thiophene derivative R55 was originally tested and proved active for its anticancer activity against Yoshida sarcoma.
