Description
N-Desmethyl-PK 11195 is the racemic precursor used for N-methyl radiolabeling of [11C]PK 11195, a ligand for the 18 kDa translocator protein (TSPO), formerly known as the peripheral benzodiazepine receptor.
The compound is primarily intended for radiochemistry rather than standalone receptor pharmacology. It supports synthesis of TSPO positron-emission tomography tracers used to study activated microglia, neuroinflammation and peripheral inflammatory processes.
