Description
(R)-(−)-N-Desmethyl-PK 11195 is the enantiomerically defined precursor used for radiolabeling of (R)-[N-methyl-11C]PK 11195, a ligand for the 18 kDa translocator protein (TSPO), formerly termed the peripheral benzodiazepine receptor.
The compound is intended for radiochemistry and positron-emission tomography workflows rather than as a standalone receptor agonist or antagonist. It supports preparation of a widely used TSPO radiotracer for imaging activated microglia, neuroinflammation and peripheral TSPO expression.
