Description
SP 141 is a small-molecule MDM2 inhibitor that directly binds MDM2 and promotes MDM2 autoubiquitination and degradation. It has shown antitumor activity in breast cancer models, including contexts not solely dependent on wild-type p53.
MDM2 regulates p53 stability and also contributes to p53-independent oncogenic signaling. SP 141 is useful for studying MDM2 protein turnover, p53 pathway modulation, apoptosis and breast cancer pharmacology.
