Description
HSF1A is an activator of heat shock factor 1 (HSF1) that stimulates heat shock response signaling and molecular chaperone expression.
HSF1 coordinates proteostasis programs that protect cells from misfolded protein stress and toxic protein aggregation. HSF1A is useful for studying heat shock responses, chaperone induction and neurodegenerative disease models involving polyglutamine aggregation.
