Description
KRIBB11 is an inhibitor of heat shock factor 1 (HSF1)-dependent transcriptional activity. It blocks induction of HSF1 target genes such as HSP27 and HSP70 and promotes apoptosis in heat-shock and cancer-cell models.
HSF1 regulates proteotoxic stress adaptation, chaperone expression and cancer cell survival under stress. KRIBB11 is useful for studying heat-shock response inhibition and stress-dependent tumor vulnerability.
