Description
HSF1B is an activator of heat shock factor 1 (HSF1) and a close analogue of HSF1A (Axon 1890). It is used to stimulate heat shock response pathways involved in chaperone expression and proteostasis regulation.
HSF1 controls transcriptional programs that protect cells from proteotoxic stress, protein misfolding and aggregate formation. HSF1B is relevant for studying cellular stress responses in neurodegeneration and polyglutamine disease models.
