Description
FDI 6 (NCGC00099374) is an inhibitor of the FOXM1 transcription factor with an IC50 value of 22.5 μM for inhibition of FOXM1-DNA binding. It displaces FOXM1 from genomic targets in MCF-7 breast cancer cells and produces transcriptional down-regulation without proteasome inhibition.
FOXM1 drives cell-cycle gene expression, proliferation and oncogenic transcriptional programs in many cancers. FDI 6 is useful for studying direct FOXM1-DNA binding disruption and FOXM1-dependent transcriptional control.
