AS 1842856
- Soluble in DMSO
- MF: C18H22FN3O3
- MW: 347.38
Description
AS1842856 is a potent, selective and orally active inhibitor of the transcription factor FOXO1 with an IC50 value of 33 nM. It binds the active dephosphorylated form of FOXO1 and inhibits FOXO1-dependent transcription.
In hepatocyte models, AS1842856 reduces expression of gluconeogenic genes including glucose-6-phosphatase and phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase, thereby decreasing glucose production. It is used to investigate FOXO1 function in hepatic metabolism, insulin signaling, immune-cell biology and cell-fate regulation.
Key Features
- Potent FOXO1 transcriptional inhibitor
- IC50: 33 nM
- Orally active
- Suppresses gluconeogenic gene expression
- Reduces hepatic glucose production
Applications
- FOXO1 transcription-factor research
- Insulin-signaling studies
- Hepatic gluconeogenesis assays
- Metabolic disease models
- Immune-cell and cell-fate research
