Description
N106 is a first-in-class small-molecule activator of SUMO E1 ligase-mediated SERCA2a SUMOylation. It enhances cardiomyocyte contractile function and improves ventricular performance in reported heart failure models.
SERCA2a regulates calcium reuptake into the sarcoplasmic reticulum, and its SUMOylation supports pump stability and cardiac contractility. N106 is useful for studying SUMOylation-based regulation of calcium handling and heart failure pharmacology.
