Description
Akt Inhibitor VIII is a non-ATP-competitive inhibitor of AKT1 and AKT2. It allosterically suppresses AKT signaling and has been used to dissect isoform-selective PI3K/AKT pathway function.
AKT1 and AKT2 control cell survival, metabolism, proliferation and insulin-responsive signaling. Akt Inhibitor VIII is a useful allosteric reference inhibitor for studying AKT-dependent phosphorylation events and pathway selectivity.
