Description
ADAMTS-5 inhibitor (Compound 12) is an ADAMTS-5/aggrecanase-2 inhibitor with reported IC50 activity of 1.1 µM and >40-fold functional selectivity over ADAMTS-4. It inhibits aggrecanase activity involved in cartilage matrix degradation.
ADAMTS-5 drives aggrecan catabolism in articular cartilage and is a key target in osteoarthritis research. This inhibitor is useful for studying extracellular matrix turnover, cartilage protection and metalloprotease selectivity.
