Description
PD166793 is a potent, cell-permeable matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) inhibitor with nanomolar affinities for MMP subtypes. It was used to block MMP-mediated extracellular matrix degradation.
MMPs regulate matrix remodeling, tissue invasion, angiogenesis, inflammation and cartilage turnover. PD166793 is useful for studying MMP-dependent pathways in cancer, arthritis and tissue remodeling models.
