Description
LY 294002 is a widely used, cell-permeable phosphoinositide 3-kinase inhibitor that inhibits class I PI3K activity and reduces PIP3-dependent AKT signaling.
LY 294002 is a foundational pharmacological tool for studying PI3K-dependent cell survival, metabolism, proliferation and trafficking. Because it can affect additional kinases at higher concentrations, concentration-dependent controls are important when assigning PI3K-specific effects.
