Description
GSK 269962A (GSK269962) is a highly potent and selective Rho-associated protein kinase (ROCK) inhibitor with reported IC50 values of 1.6 nM for ROCK1 and 6 nM for ROCK2. It shows more than 30-fold selectivity for ROCK over other tested kinases and has been associated with antihypertensive activity.
ROCK1 and ROCK2 regulate actomyosin contractility, vascular tone, smooth muscle function, fibrosis and cell migration. GSK 269962A is a high-potency tool for probing ROCK-dependent cardiovascular and cytoskeletal signaling.
