Description
SC 79 is a selective activator of cytosolic AKT/PKB signaling. It promotes AKT membrane translocation and phosphorylation-dependent pathway activation in cellular and neuronal models.
AKT controls survival, metabolism, synaptic plasticity and cell growth downstream of PI3K. SC 79 is useful for experimentally activating AKT signaling in neuroprotection, ischemia, survival and metabolic pathway studies.
