Description
INK 128 (Sapanisertib) is a potent and selective ATP-competitive mTOR kinase inhibitor that blocks both mTORC1 and mTORC2 signaling. It inhibits downstream phosphorylation events controlling protein synthesis, growth and survival signaling.
mTOR integrates nutrient, growth factor and oncogenic PI3K/AKT pathway inputs. INK 128 is relevant for studying dual mTOR complex inhibition in cancer, metabolic regulation and resistance to rapamycin-like allosteric mTOR inhibitors.
