Description
ML 324 dihydrochloride is an inhibitor of JMJD2/KDM4 Jumonji histone demethylases. It blocks histone demethylase activity and has been reported to suppress herpes simplex virus immediate-early gene expression and viral reactivation from latency.
JMJD2/KDM4 enzymes regulate chromatin marks involved in transcriptional activation and viral genome control. ML 324 is useful for studying Jumonji demethylase pharmacology, epigenetic transcriptional control and chromatin-dependent antiviral mechanisms.
