Description
JIB 04 is a potent, cell-permeable and selective inhibitor of Jumonji C domain histone demethylases with activity in vitro and in vivo. It is not a simple competitive inhibitor of α-ketoglutarate and modulates transcription in a cancer-selective manner.
Jumonji histone demethylases regulate chromatin state, transcriptional identity and tumor cell fitness. JIB 04 is relevant for epigenetic oncology research and for probing histone demethylase-dependent gene expression programs.
