Description
Selective inhibitor of LMP7, the chymotrypsin-like subunit of the immunoproteasome. ONX 0914 blocks the production of cytokines IL-23, TNF-α, and IL-6 in a NF-κB independent manner, and attenuates progression of experimental arthritis in mouse models.
ONX 0914 induces an anti-inflammatory response at doses less than one tenth of the maximum tolerated dose, in contrast to nonselective inhibitors, such as bortezomib (Axon 1810) and carfilzomib.
