Description
IWR-1-endo (IWR-1) is an inhibitor of Wnt/β-catenin signaling that strongly inhibits tankyrase 1 (TNK1) and tankyrase 2 (TNK2). It stabilizes AXIN and promotes β-catenin degradation, suppressing canonical Wnt pathway output.
Tankyrase enzymes regulate AXIN turnover and thereby control β-catenin-dependent transcription. IWR-1-endo is a widely used tool for Wnt pathway inhibition in stem-cell, developmental and cancer biology models.
