Description
WAY 316606 hydrochloride is a potent inhibitor of secreted Frizzled-related protein 1 (sFRP-1) with a Kd value of 0.08 μM and an EC50 value of 0.65 μM in Wnt-luciferase U2-OS cells. It stimulates canonical Wnt/β-catenin signaling and increases bone area in murine calvarial organ culture assays.
sFRP-1 antagonizes Wnt ligands and limits Wnt/β-catenin pathway activation in bone and tissue-regeneration contexts. WAY 316606 is useful for investigating extracellular Wnt modulation, osteogenic signaling and sFRP target biology.
