Description
K 02288 is a potent and selective BMP type I receptor inhibitor with low-nanomolar activity against ALK1, ALK2 and ALK6, reported IC50 values of 1.8, 1.1 and 6.4 nM respectively. It inhibits BMP-induced SMAD signaling without affecting TGF-β signaling in the cited studies.
BMP signaling regulates embryonic patterning, stem-cell differentiation, bone biology and disease processes including anemia, musculoskeletal disorders and cancer. K 02288 is relevant for selective BMP pathway inhibition.
