Description
SD 208 is a selective transforming growth factor-β type I receptor (TGF-βR1/ALK5) kinase inhibitor that blocks receptor-mediated SMAD2/3 phosphorylation.
ALK5 signaling regulates epithelial–mesenchymal transition, fibrosis, immune suppression and tumor progression. SD 208 is used to inhibit canonical TGF-β signaling in cellular and in vivo disease models.
