Description
Olprinone hydrochloride is a selective phosphodiesterase III (PDE3) inhibitor with cardiotonic, positive inotropic and vasodilating effects. It is used to study PDE3-dependent cAMP signaling in cardiovascular systems.
PDE3 regulates cAMP in cardiac and vascular smooth muscle and is an important target in acute heart failure research. Olprinone hydrochloride is relevant for investigating inotropy, vasodilation and cyclic nucleotide signaling.
