Description
WX-132-18B is a microtubule-destabilizing compound that binds the colchicine site of tubulin. It inhibits tubulin polymerization with an IC50 value of 0.77 µM and produces 99% inhibition of colchicine binding at 5 µM.
WX-132-18B shows potent antiproliferative activity across reported tumor-cell lines, with GI50 values of 1.9–3.2 nM, and induces G2/M cell-cycle arrest. It is useful for investigating colchicine-site pharmacology, microtubule dynamics, mitotic disruption and vascular-disrupting mechanisms.
